Honey Love (this product was currently out of stock at MAC so we have provided an alternate retailer) : All right, so everyone needs the perfect matte nude in their lip collection, right? Honey Love is that color for light to medium skin tones. If you’re trying to recreate a vamp lip, I highly recommend this one. I love this color because it complements every skin tone and lasts all day.ĭiva (this product was currently out of stock at MAC so we have provided an alternate retailer) : Diva is another matte shade, it’s a little darker than Viva Glam III with a purple undertone.

Twig (this product was currently out of stock at MAC so we have provided an alternate retailer) : Twig is a satin lipstick with a gorgeous red undertone. It’s also claimed to be Kylie Jenner’s lip color, so don’t expect anything less than perfection. If I ever can’t decide what to wear, I’ll reach for it. Velvet Teddy (this product was currently out of stock at MAC so we have provided an alternate retailer) : Velvet Teddy is my favorite matte nude shade. It’s the perfect dark plum color for cool fall days. Viva Glam III : It’s no surprise that I love my matte shades and this one is certainly a favorite of mine. For long-lasting bold lips I prefer MAC Matte formula, since it's more long-lasting MAC Cyber starts to fade after 4-5 hours and I definitely need retouch after a snack or meal.Hi Smayb the Babe readers! I was so excited that Samantha asked me to guest blog this week! We’re both in the Seventeen Social Club so it was perfect for us to do a collab! For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Katie Nelson and I’m a senior at the New England Institute of Art. The texture is slightly thinner than I expected and the only negative aspect of this lipstick for me is that it applies patchy at first, so I need to layer it very carefully to get an uniform lip color.Įven if I find MAC Satin formula comfortable on the lips, MAC Cyber felt even more comfortable during the wear. It might be my complexion (light-medium with yellow warm undertones) or the fact that my lips are naturally more pigmented, with a mauvish tint.

I actually receive it for free with a MAC online order (I would have never purchased it on my own), tried it and fell in love with it.ĭescribed on temptalia as a warm purple, MAC Cyber on me looks more dark grey-purple, more cool toned. If I could find a dupe for Cockney in the Matte or Satin finish, it would become a staple in my collection.Īt first glance MAC Cyber is such an intimidating lip color, but I somewhat like it a lot (but I'm into bold lipstick). To be worse, the formula is as drying at the Retro-Mattes the MAC Matte and Satin lipsticks are way more comfortable (and lightly more hydrating) than Lustre. I can barely get 1-2 of wear if I don't eat and I only drink from a straw. The Lustre lipsticks move around as you speak and transfer to anything, worse even than a gloss. The coverage is very sheer, almost stain like (which is not bad) the moment you try to build up coverage it all gets gloopy and messy. My issue is that personally I dislike the MAC Lustre formula. The sheen is very beautiful, quite subtle. On me it doesn't look warm or yellow it's actually translating to a pink-red, with neutral tones (but with some yellowness) it's such a unique color because the pink vibes are not `Barbie-pink`. MAC Cockney is an amazing and unique red, but since I dislike the MAC Lustre formula I can't give it more than 3-stars.īright reds usually don't look flattering on me, but MAC Cockney is definitely an exception.
